Later this morning writers and Hollywood producers will resume talks regarding contract negotiations. It's the first time since the Writers Guild of America work stoppage began on November 5th that the two sides have agreed to return to the bargaining table. In the meantime, picketing by some of TV biggest stars and writers continues in Los Angeles and New York. The sign-toting strikers say they don't plan to back down on their demand over payment for work aired on the Web. Writers want more money when TV shows and films are aired on Internet sites. As the strike enters its fourth week TV programming is not looking too merry for viewers. Besides the obligatory annual holiday specials don't look for very many new episodes of your favorite shows. The following is an updated list showing how many new episodes are left: FOX After tonight's show there are only three new episodes of "House" left. However, all of them will air in January--one of them following Fox's Super Bowl broadcast. "Family Guy" has scheduled a normal mix of new and repeat episodes through January. "K-Ville" has two new episodes left. The hit show "24" has been postponed indefinitely. ABC "Ugly Betty,""Pushing Daisies" and "Grey's Anatomy" each have two new episodes left to air. "Samantha Who?" has six more episodes in the can. The last new episode of "Desperate Housewives" airs Sunday night. Look for ABC to air the new comedy drama "Cashmere Mafia" starring Lucy Liu sometime in January. CBS "NCIS,""Criminal Minds,""Without a Trace" and "Cold Case" are down to four new episodes apiece. "The New Adventures of Old Christine" will be back with at least eight episodes in January along with the drama "Jericho," which returns with seven new episodes. NBC The final new episode of "Heroes" airs December 3rd. "The Office" and the rest of the peacock network's comedy series are done until the strike ends, with only reruns airing. In January, NBC's "Medium" will return with nine new episodes. **If you didn't see your favorite shows listed above it's because the series are no longer in production and all new episodes have either aired or will air by the end of next month.
