A LOT has been written and said about Paris Hilton in the past few days. Maybe too much. So let's say we change topics for a bit (at least until tomorrow) and concentrate on other celebrities who are experiencing happier moments in their lives.

For example, cutie Dougray Scott. The Scottish actor who recently played Teri Hatcher's love interest on "Desperate Housewives" just tied the knot. His new wife is actress Claire Forlani who has a recurring role on "CSI: New York." According to news reports, the couple wed in a private civil ceremony in Italy earlier today.

Forlani's Italian father helped his daughter plan the festivities for more than 100 guests. Even more endearing, he told an Italian newspaper that at the reception at the family's country home in Italy, "I will be the official cook of the event."

The 41-year-old groom reportedly proposed to his 35-year-old bride in Los Angeles in September.

BABIES

Sharing in the good times is "Cold Case" actor Danny Pino. According to PEOPLE magazine, the actor and his wife welcomed a son, Julian Franco Pino, on Tuesday. Julian, who reportedly weighed in at 7 lbs. and 15 oz., is the couple's second son. They are already parents to 15-month-old Luca.

Meanwhile, "Flags of Our Fathers" actor Neal McDonough is also a father for the second time. According to news reports, the actor's wife gave birth to daughter Cate - full name Catherine Maggie McDonough - last month. The couple also has an 18-month-old son, Morgan.

SEQUELS

Good news for you Shrek fans. The success of "Shrek the Third" has prompted producer Jeffrey Katzenberg to reveal that more movies starring the giant green ogre are in the works.

"More Shreks are coming!" Katzenberg said at a news conference in Berlin today.

Katzenberg used the venue to announce that he is currently producing a 30-minute animated TV special, "Shrek the Halls," featuring the Shrek characters' versions of holiday traditions.

As for giving away plot twists of the fourth installment of the "Shrek" movie franchise, Katzenberg would only say that Shrek will "have to come to terms with something difficult in his past."

Hmm... I don't suppose it was an eating disorder?
