Valerie Bertinelli Dishes the Dirt

She was the epitome of the sweet All American girl next door when she starred on "One Day at a Time," but even though she was married to her rock star husband for 24 years - a monstrous amount of time by Hollywood standards - Valerie Bertinelli didn't always play the good girl in real life.

In a revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey, Valerie had admitted to cheating on ex-hubby Eddie Van Halen. You can watch the entire interview on Oprah's show Monday, but to tide you over until then, here are some of the juicy parts. Valerie says that both she and Eddie cheated and all though he claims she cheated first, she says she does not know about the timing. The couple married in 1981, had their only child, son Wolfgang, ten years later, then separated in late 2001. Their divorce was finalized in 2007.

Valerie also admits to an early romance with Steven Spielberg pre-Eddie. Valerie, now 47, said that she was reading for a part in Raiders of the Lost Ark, but was wrong for the part. However, she apparently wasn't wrong for Steven as the next day she got a call and some flowers. The two went out a few times and according to Valerie "did more."

Valerie has recently been in the news for losing 40 pounds as a Jenny Craig spokeperson. The same day the Oprah interview airs is the same day Valerie's book "Losing It: And Gaining My Life Back One Pound at a Time" will hit the bookshelves. When asked why she decided to reveal so much about herself, Valerie said she changed the outer self, so why not let the inner self out as well.

Is there anything else juicy in there that she admits to? She also reveals in the book that she used to snort cocaine. Ah, it is always the cute and innocent looking ones you really have to watch out for!
