TURKEYS He’s no longer around to personally hand out the holiday birds, but a Thanksgiving tradition the “Godfather of Soul” James Brown started more than a decade ago is still going strong. Brown died of heart failure last Christmas, but today his program, designed to help those less fortunate, kicked off with great success. James Brown Auction Raises Mega Money

Despite protests from his children, an auction selling some of James Brown’s prized mementoes raised nearly $900,000. Fans of the legendary singer packed a New York auction house earlier this week to bid on items ranging from Brown’s signature capes to a medical bracelet the Godfather of Soul once wore on stage. According to event organizers, more than 300 of Brown’s belongings were sold, bringing in a total of $857,688. Auction officials say they were shocked at how much people were willing to pay for the late rocker’s personal goods. Faster than you can say Paso Doble, Marie Osmond has moved from ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” to QVC. Did you see it? Last night QVC unveiled Osmond’s new limited collection “Dancing with the Stars” dolls. The 12-inch porcelain dolls are dressed in the same costumes the 48-year-old singer wore on the show. Osmond is hawking the Boogie Woogie doll dressed in the same WWII-era military-inspired costume she wore when she dedicated her “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” jive to her parents.
