Green Celebrities: Ted Danson

You probably remember Ted Danson best as Sam Malone on “Cheers.” But, Ted also has another passion – saving our oceans. Danson has been interested in saving the environment from a young age, but he has focused primarily on saving our oceans. Part of what sparked his interest was when he took his kids to the ocean at Santa Monica. On that particular day, the kids couldn’t swim because of a “Water polluted, no swimming” sign. Bruce Lee was one of my first heroes. Of course, by the time I learned who he actually was, he was dead. Bruce Lee died under mysterious circumstances on July 20, 1973 at the age of 32, but he still remains a pop culture icon along the lines of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe even 35 years after his death.
