The Joys Of Celebrity Parenthood

Just call him Grandpa Reege. Or, The King of Grandpas. Either way, talk show host Regis Philbin will likely have a ton of funny baby stories to share once his daughter gives birth early next year.

Philbin used his show, "Live with Regis and Kelly" to announce that his daughter Jennifer (JJ) is expecting her first child with husband Michael Schur in February. The couple has been married for nearly two years and both are TV show writers.

As for what the couple plans to name their new addition, the grandfather-to-be had this to say: "It will be interesting to see how they name the baby. So far everybody has avoided the name Regis."

Philbin and his wife, Joy, also have another daughter, Joanna. The daytime talker also has two children, Amy and Daniel, from his first marriage.

He's far from being a grandfather, but basketball star Grant Hill still has reason to celebrate. He and his wife, R&B singer Tamia, welcomed a baby girl to their family last week. According to the hoops star, Lael Rose Hill arrived in Orlando, Florida, weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz. The couple's first daughter Myla Grace is five-years-old and is reportedly thrilled to be a big sister.

Now that baby Lael has made her debut, the family is preparing for another big change... a change of address. After six seasons with the Orlando Magic, Hill, has been traded to the Phoenix Suns, which means the family will be moving to Arizona soon.

By the way, despite being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2003 Tamia told reporters she had no problems with her latest pregnancy.

It hasn't happened yet, but I'm sure in just a matter of months Backstreet Boys singer Howie Dorough will be announcing that he is preparing to become part of the first-dad's club. The singer just announced that he and his girlfriend, Leigh Boniello, became engaged on New Year's Eve and plan to marry in a couple of months. The couple says they have worked hard to keep their upcoming nuptials private. However, the two are not doing the same when it comes to talking about starting a family.

The 33-year-old boy band member is going public with his desire to have a family. Dorough says he wants to add to the next generation of Backstreet Boys, which already includes band member Brian Littrell's 4-year-old son Baylee and former member Kevin Richardson's son 1-month old son Mason.
