The Celebrity Woes of the Week

This week has not been a good one for some celebrities. While some have had a good, freeing week (with both Clay Aiken and Lindsay Lohan admitted their true sexuality), others have suffered emotional and physical setbacks. Poor Jeffrey Ross suffered a torn cornea during practice on "Dancing with the Stars" and was the first celebrity eliminated. That's okay, the Friar's Club needs him much more as a roast master general than America needs him as a dancer.

Sharon Stone lost a custody battle with her ex this week. Her oldest son, Roan, has been living with his father, newspaper exec Phil Bronstein and a judge has ruled that is where he will stay. Stone and Bronstein divorced in 2004 and on Sept 12, the judge ruled Bronstein's home was more stable and structured for eight-year-old Roan than Stone's home. The judge did say both parents must be involved in tutoring choices and that Stone's number should be programmed into the home phones as well as Roan's cell phone. While Bronstein retains permanent sole custody, Stone does have visitation rights. She has two other sons, Laird and Quinn, adopted on her own after the divorce.

Rapper DMX was scheduled to appear in an Arizona court this week on charges of drug possession, traffic violation, animal cruelty, and fraud, but instead is in an Aventura, Florida hospital. His rep wouldn't confirm why the rapper was hospitalized, but rumors are that he was close to having a stroke. His rep only said that DMX's condition was "serious enough" to require the hospital visit.

Griffin O'Neal has admitted that his family is "screwed-up" and says he no longer speaks to his father, although he is still close with sister, Tatum. Griffin said he had to separate himself from the family to be emotionally healthy. He currently lives in New York, but all is not well. Griffin is suffering from melorheostosis, a rare bone disease he said was "horribly painful." Griffin may have to have his left leg amputated due to the disease.
