Star Weekend Weddings

And you thought all of Hollywood "it" couples got married last week Saturday (7-7-07)...

Turns out some celebs waited an extra seven days to tie the knot (either because all their reception venues were booked or they figured any number divisible by seven was good enough).

Such is the case for Hollywood heavyweights Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell (who only seem like they have been dating for seven years). According to PEOPLE Magazine, the pair was married yesterday in Los Angeles.

The actress' rep tells the magazine, "Rebecca and Jerry were married on Saturday evening in an intimate ceremony at their home surrounded by family and close friends."

According to reports, the 34-year-old bride donned a Ralph Lauren gown and jewelry by Neil Lane as she and O'Connell exchanged vows in front of 100 family and friends. However, some guests say the couple's two dogs--Taco and Better--who were dressed in their own formal attire (black bow ties) upstaged the beautiful bride.

Romijn, who currently stars in ABC's hit comedy "Ugly Betty," met O'Connell in Las Vegas in 2004 shortly after her marriage to John Stamos ended. A year later the couple got engaged during a trip to New York.

Also in L.A. a member of a prominent political family got hitched on Saturday. Just days after she bailed her brother out of jail (for allegedly possessing drugs) the youngest of Al Gore's three daughters, Sarah Gore, married her businessman boyfriend Bill Lee in Beverly Hills.

The 28-year-old bride and her 37-year-old groom tied the knot at the ritzy Beverly Hills Hotel in front of hundreds of family members and friends, including her dad's former boss Bill Clinton and the man who thinks he is everyone's boss, Donald Trump.

Sarah Gore is a Harvard graduate and a medical student at the University of California, San Francisco.

According to PEOPLE, the Gore's hosted a rehearsal dinner for 75 family and friends Friday night at their favorite Beverly Hills restaurant--Crustacean. Guests reportedly dined on a six-course tasting menu that included Chilean sea bass and roasted crab.
