Scary Spice Gives Birth to a Daughter

Are you all caught up in the Anna Nicole paternity suit? Who is the dad - Howard K. Stern, Larry Birkhead, or Frederic von Anhalt? Or could it be someone completely different? Reads a bit like a Maury Povich episode, doesn't it? Well, if you are in the mood for a paternity test with a few less contestants, get ready for Scary Spice vs. Eddie Murphy.

Former Spice Girl "Scary Spice" Melanie Brown has given birth to her second child, a daughter, simply known as Baby Brown for right now. Baby came into the world right after midnight on Tuesday night weighing in at 5 pounds, 4 ounces. She was born at the St. John's hospital in Santa Monica. Both mom and daughter are reportedly doing fine. Baby joins big sister Phoenix Chi who is eight years old. Phoenix Chi was born when Melanie was married to her ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar.

The big question now is - who is the baby's father? I do not know if you remember it, but Scary was dating Eddie Murphy for a while. The two looked really very happy together...before he unceremoniously dumped her. When asked about the relationship and baby on a television show, Murphy said not to assume anything and that he would ask for a paternity test. Melanie says there is no doubt in her mind that Eddie is the father. Next thing you know, we saw new girlfriend Tracey Edmonds on his arm at the Oscars. So expect a paternity test a la Baby Dannielynn. What does Tracey, who is the CEO of Edmunds Entertainment Group, In.c and was formerly married to Kenneth "Babyface" Edmunds, say about all this? She's been rather low key about it, merely saying she got into a relationship with Eddie after his relationship with Melanie had ended and if the baby is his, he will be responsible.

If Eddie is the father to Baby Brown, this will make child number six for him. He and ex-wife Nicole (they divorced in 2005) were married for twelve years and have five children.
