Prince Harry Adds to a Long Line of Royal Scandals – Part 1

The scenario has probably played itself out a thousand times before…a young handsome guy visits Las Vegas with some friends, they hang out at the hotel bar, meet some gals and head back to their suite for a game of naked billiards. No big deal, right? Well, it is if naked photos or taken and you have the Queen of England to answer to. Prince Harry, let’s just call him the Rowdy Royal, seems to have a pretty easy life. Oh sure, he did his thing in Afghanistan, but he doesn’t really have all the stress that William has because … Continue reading

Prince Harry Makes the Most of His Early Return from Afghanistan

No sense in crying over spilled milk… at least that’s Prince Harry’s philosophy since a media leak sent him from the frontlines of the war on terror back home to England nearly two months before he was ready. According to British news agencies, the handsome prince has swapped a tent in the desert, which he shared with unshowered comrades for a tent on a houseboat with his gorgeous Zimbabwean girlfriend Chelsy Davy. Today’s British papers are plastered with photos of the couple’s waterborne hideaway in Botswana. The pics include captions that speak of the prince’s hasty romantic retreat. You’ll recall … Continue reading

Royal Return

He’s baaaack! Prince Harry has returned to British soil after serving time on the frontlines in Afghanistan. The handsome royal was embraced by his brother Prince William and his father Prince Charles as he walked off the plane at the Royal Air Force Base Brize Norton, in Oxfordshire, 50 miles northwest of London. Shortly after Harry disembarked from the plane his father told reporters: “It’s a great relief to see him home in one piece.” Harry made it home safe and sound, but he’s back earlier than he expected. No thanks to the media representatives who went public with the … Continue reading

Dannielynn Turns One With A Royal Rockin’ Bash

Her mom always treated her like a princess so it was only fitting that little Dannielynn Birkhead would celebrate her 1st birthday like royalty. Anna Nicole Smith’s only daughter was the toast of Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday. That’s where her dad Larry Birkhead hosted a huge soiree at socialite Tricia Barnstable Brown’s mansion. Do you remember what you did to celebrate your first-born’s first birthday? My daughter smashed cake into her mouth and fell asleep before her gifts were opened. Compare that with Dannielynn’s bash, which featured a princess theme complete with a “castle as big as the house,” white … Continue reading

The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement

“The Princess Diaries 2- Royal Engagement” finds Princess Mia newly graduated from Princeton and returning home to Genovia to stay. She’s just turned 21 and is learning the ins and outs of ruling from her grandmother (played again by Julie Andrews). However, Mia’s return and upcoming coronation doesn’t make everyone happy. Couple Visits Disneyland Every Day in 2012

At the end of 2012 I came across an interesting post on the official Disney Parks blog: a couple visited Disneyland every single day in 2012.  On December 31, Jeff Reitz and Tonya Mickesh received special gifts personally from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs.  It was a typical fancy Disney ceremony: as the two made their way down Main Street, Staggs was waiting for them to present their honors in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Their honors included being made honorary citizens of Disneyland, and a stay in the Disneyland Dream Suite, a luxury apartment off the … Continue reading

Check into a Disney Character Room

I’m torn between two very different impulses when thinking about my eventual Disney World vacation. One part of me wants to keep the vacation simple, to stay in a hotel with a kitchen outside of the resort so I can save money on lodging and food. That’s the part of me that will probably win out. If I’m to afford a Disney vacation, that’s likely what I’ll have to do. But there’s another part of me, the kid still in there that’s especially pushing me to make that trip to Orlando. That part doesn’t necessarily want to go all out, … Continue reading

The Tax Man Cometh

If you spent all or part of 2011 working part-time or less, you may be wondering if you even have to file taxes this year. Many self-employed workers wonder the same, especially if they didn’t generate much money in the last 12 months. To determine whether or not you earned enough cash to warrant filing taxes, you must first consider your age, employment status, and total earnings. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) defines “earnings” as wages, salaries or tips paid to you by an employer (or yourself, if you are self-employed). In addition, the IRS also counts long-term disability benefits … Continue reading
