A Big Bash For The Beckham's

In less than 24 hours the newest members of Hollywood royalty will be welcomed into the inner circle. David and Victoria Beckham's BFFs Tom and Katie Holmes and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith will be hosting a lavish, private party for the British imports tomorrow night.

The official invites were reportedly printed in gold lettering and asked guests to "Please welcome David and Victoria Beckham to Los Angeles." The invitations also implore guests: "No cameras please."

The big shindig is being held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Los Angeles. Reported A-listers expected to turn out include Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Jim Carrey, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Lopez, and Brooke Shields.

The party is the latest in a series of high-profile events that marked the couple's recent move to America. Earlier this week David was officially introduced as the newest player on the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team, while Victoria made the rounds on NBC's "Today" show and starred in a one-hour TV special, which was repotedly one of the least watched shows of the summer season.

Perhaps, more people will turn out to see her in person...

Annie's Big Project

If you aren't a fan of Annie Lennox now you may change your mind after you learn about the new project she is working on. According to news reports, the singer is lining up some big name female artists to record a charity single benefiting the treament and prevention of HIV and AIDS. British newspapers are reporting that Lennox has recruited 23 major stars to contribute their voices to her new song, "Sing." Madonna, Shakira, Joss Stone, Dido, Celine Dion, Pink, Fergie, Gladys Knight, Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge and Lennox's fellow Scottish star KT Tunstall have all agreed to participate in the charity project.

The song will reportedly raise funds for the Treatment Action Campaign, whose own vocal group "The Generics" inspired Lennox to create the track for her new album, debuting in October. The British press is reporting that Lennox wrote the song after she volunteered at Nelson Mandela's charity concert in 2005, which was staged to highlight the plight of women living with HIV and AIDS.
