Oprah's Favorite Things 2007 - Part 1

Once again, Oprah has announced her favorite things. In case you missed it, here they are:

Samsung Progressive HD Camcorder SC-HMX10C

I guess this is somewhat affordable for a camcorder at $799.99, but I am not a big fan of camcorders. However, Oprah is, saying, "My first favorite thing is state of the art and I carried it around with me all through Macon." It is high-definition and records to a chip, so you can easily download it to your computer. Maybe it would be cool, if Oprah gave me one.

Ugg Australia Crochet Tall Boot

Apparently, this is the boot Oprah's feet "cannot live without." It comes in black, sand, and rum raisin. I'm not sure I would pay $120 for a pair of boots, but then I am not much of a boot person, although these do look comfy.

Toywatch Watches

These are cute and somewhat affordable, depending on which one you choose I suppose. The price range is between $150 and $1,500.

Perfect Endings Cupcakes (Williams-Sonoma)

Now we are talking - FOOD! Overpriced at $59 for a set of 9 (that is approximately $6.50 per cupcake), but they do look yummy. You can choose from red velvet with white icing, chocolate with chocolate sprinkles, and coconut.

Melamine Bowls, Measuring Cups and Spoons (Williams-Sonoma)

Finally, something I might be able to afford (and use!). These pretty, retro looking bowls are available for $32 for a set of 3. The measuring cups and spoons are $18 per set.

Artisan Stand Mixer (Kitchenaid)

This is nice, very nice, but out of my kitchen appliance range at $349.99. Maybe that is why my Paula Deen recipes never quite turn out like her's do (Paula is a big fan of the Artisan).

The Discovery Channel's Planet Earth DVD Set

I am a sucker for anything from The Discovery Store! This DVD set was filmed in over 200 locations in 60 different countries. This would be something nice for my toddler to see one day. It is priced somewhat reasonably for a DVD set at $59.95.

Kai Body Butter and Body Buffer

Oprah says, "Bathing is an art form and nobody enjoys it more than I do." That statement alone tells us that Oprah is childless! I am lucky to get a quick shower with my toddler, much less a relaxing bath. But, if you love taking luxurious baths, this is a great set. The body buffer is $28 and the body butter is $55.

Clarsonic Skin Care System

Okay, I know I am getting old and worrying about my skin because this item peaked my interest. This system removes six times more makeup than soap and water. The bristles vibrate and massage your face...ah, but, a bit pricy at $195.

Okay, Oprah has way too much money and way too many favorite things. That is enough for this blog. Stay tuned for Blog 2 with more favorite things!

I watched this show, but Oprah never revealed how the people who got in got the tix--save for the ones she hand delivered.
