So much for seeing Britney Spears and Kevin Federline square off in court. The legal saga that has surrounded the reforming pop star and her wannabe rapper ex-husband for nearly two years is drawing to a close… for now. The former couple has reportedly reached a settlement in their prolonged and at times ugly custody battle over their two young sons. The answer to that question is “yes.” Only the former popwreck won’t be the one saying, “I do.” According to OK! magazine, the twice divorced mother of two will be walking down the aisle in a bridesmaid’s dress during her sister Jamie Lynn’s upcoming wedding to fiancé Casey Aldridge. It would stand to reason that big sis Brit would somehow be involved in the event given that it’s being held at her massive country estate in the family’s native Louisiana. Medical Employees Axed for Spears Snooping

I guess the temptation was just too much… The allure of knowing all about Britney Spears has landed more than two-dozen medical employees, including doctors in hot water. In fact, at least 25 staff members at the UCLA Medical Center are either looking for new jobs this morning or are enduring severe disciplinary actions, according to the Los Angeles Times. The newspaper is reporting that the breaches occurred during Spears most recent hospital stay. As you likely know by now derailed pop princess Britney Spears was granted an early release from UCLA Medical Center’s psych ward last week because a court representative found “no just cause” for the hold. “No just cause?!” Apparently, the court representative doesn’t watch the news, live in Los Angeles, or read this blog. In all seriousness Spears’ early release should be a lesson to anyone who thinks that a person should be institutionalized based solely on what he or she might consider “irrational” behavior. Sam Lufti, the man Britney Spears’ parents consider to a parasite sucking the life out of their derailed daughter, has now (at least temporarily) been shut out of the popwreck’s world. Yesterday a judge named Brit’s father, Jamie Spears, conservator of his daughter. Which basically means that he is now in control of the 26-year-old singer’s life. In addition, the judge also slapped Lufti with a restraining order mandating him to stay away from Britney, who continues to be evaluated at UCLA Medical Center’s psychiatric hospital.
