Mother of K-Fed's Other Children Speaks Out

Shar Jackson, the mother of Kevin Federline's two older children, thinks that people should "stop treating her ex as a punching bag."

The 30-year-old actress who dated and gave birth to two children fathered by Federline prior to his wedding to Spears told TV's "Inside Edition," that Kevin is "such a nice guy." Jackson admits: "He's made some mistakes, but everybody else doesn't have the whole world pointing their finger at their mistakes."

Jackson's latest comments are not the first time she has publicly defended the father of her children. Jackson has a history of being a staunch supporter of the aspiring rapper. In May, while Britney Spears was expecting her second child with Federline, Jackson told PEOPLE magazine: "He's an amazing dad. ... He's a good guy, and when he's not with (his kids), it hurts his heart that he misses them so much."

Federline and Jackson's relationship began shortly after the actress wrapped up her gig on the TV series "Moesha," which aired from 1996-2001. In 2002, she gave birth to a now 4-year-old daughter Kori. And in a move that caused a legion of tabloid readers to gasp, Federline became involved with Spears (he was one of her back-up dancers) while Jackson was pregnant with their second child. Jackson gave birth to son Kaleb, now 2, in July 2004, two months before Federline and Spears wed.

While Jackson and Federline never married, he and Spears did and went on to have two sons of their own, 13-month-old Sean Preston and 2-month-old Jayden James. On Tuesday Spears filed for divorce from Federline, citing irreconcilable differences. She is seeking sole custody of her and Federline's two young boys. On Wednesday, Federline counter-filed. He too is seeking sole custody... and spousal support.

Jackson told reporters that Federline does not pay her child support, but "he does pay for their school, and they go to a very expensive private school."

She also made the comment that she thinks that celebrity breakups and divorces are nothing to celebrate. "I don't understand why people take so much joy in other people's pain."

Jackson didn't say how often Federline sees Kori and Kaleb, but if you believe the tabloids, it is based on a "when-his-schedule-permits" basis.

It is nice of Shar to say good things about the father of her children - especially after the way he left her for Britney!

Perhaps, she thinks that this could be her big chance now that Brit's out of the pic :)

That's what I was thinking-- sounds like she wants him back! It's hard to believe she has anything nice to say after the way he abandoned her and publicly humiliated her. She's a nicer person than I am!

Oh, I would hope she's learned her lesson with him - burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me - LOL! Besides, I don't think Shar can keep him in cars and expensive stuff like Britney could. Wonder how much of her money he went through in his brief two years as Mr. Spears?
