Celebrities Going Back To School

It’s no rumor… Singer Shakira is resting her hips for a while and letting her brain get a workout at the University of California Los Angeles. Shocking, right? UCLA has had its share of celebrity students in the past, but none, I’m sure, that can shake it quite like the Colombian star. According to her reps, Shakira is attending classes at the California college and studying the history of western civilization. The singer says one of the reasons she signed up for the class is so she could “learn from the best.” The prestigious professor Robert Cleve, who has his … Continue reading

Most of them were penned in the days following her historic move to the “CBS Evening News.” Next month will mark Couric’s first anniversary at the CBS anchor desk and wouldn’t you know that her big day is being marred by the publication of a new book that allegedly paints the peppy former “Today” show queen in a very unflattering light. According to news reports, he’s bound for the University of Southern California and a potential career as a professional basketball player (that’s if all goes according to plan). Lil’ Romeo (his real name is Percy Romeo Miller) is currently a junior at Beverly Hills High School. On Friday his record label confirmed the teen musician has committed to playing basketball for the Trojans in 2008. I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree because Lil’ Romeo’s father, hip-hop mogul Master P, had tryouts with … Continue reading
