More Hollywood Splits Plus One Marriage

I just want to finish my “In Memoriam 2011” series, but celebs just won’t stop announcing splits. First up is Debra Messing. The “Will and Grace” actress announced she split from hubby of 10 years, actor-television producer Daniel Zelman. The two met while students at New York University and dated for years before making it official in 2000. They have a seven-year-old son, Roman. But, this breakup will be a bit like a Demi/Bruce one in that it seems to be terribly amicable. “ER” Resurrects the Dead

If you vowed to never again tune into NBC’s hit medical drama ER after beloved Dr. Mark Greene (played by Anthony Edwards) was killed off in a highly emotional episode set in Hawaii back in 2002 you might want to reconsider. For its 15th and final season ER is resurrecting the dead and Dr. Greene will once again return to County General. Well, kind of. According to producers, who say they wanted to find some way to make the series’ final episodes memorable, Edwards won’t exactly be rising from the dead. Suzanne Pleshette Dies

While she will likely be best remembered as Bob Newhart’s raspy-voiced wife on “The Bob Newhart Show” I will never forget how hilarious Suzanne Pleshette was playing Karen’s mom Lois On “Will & Grace.” Too funny. Sadly those laughs have been silenced today, as news comes that Pleshette has died at age 70. According to Pleshette’s attorney and friend, the actress died of respiratory failure last night at her Los Angeles home. Pleshette underwent chemotherapy for lung cancer in 2006 and never quite regained her strength. Pleshette would have turned 71 on January 31st and by all accounts she led … Continue reading
