Kevin Costner may be putting diaper duty on hold to return to the big screen in a sequel to his award-winning baseball movie “Bull Durham.” According to reports, Costner has been meeting with the film’s director Ron Shelton to discuss the possibility of resurrecting his Crash Davis character in a sequel to the 1988 hit movie. New York gossip column PageSix is also reporting that actress Susan Sarandon has already agreed to return to play Annie Savoy. “Bull Durham,” which starred Costner, Sarandon and Tim Robbins, was nominated for a Best Screenplay Oscar back in 1989. What’s Going On with the Hollywood Writers Strike?

While Marcia Cross was lobbying Congress and Eva Longoria was fending off pregnancy rumors leaders from the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers finally began talking to each other again this week. Their informal meetings have not yielded much in the way of good news, but at least they’re talking.
