Recent news reports have revealed that some of Hollywood's biggest names are dealing with major challenges. Their recent struggles are not only making headlines, but they also illustrate to fans that even stars are not immune to life's misfortunes.

John Forsythe

Fans will remember the TV star as patriarch Blake Carrington on the primetime soap and the voice of Charlie in both the TV and film versions of "Charlie's Angels." Now, the actor will also be known as yet another of Hollywood's elite who has been struck with colon cancer. According to Forsythe's publicist, the 88-year-old actor was treated for colon cancer this week and is now recovering at a Los Angeles hospital. The news of Forsythe's condition comes just days after his "Charlie's Angels" costar Farrah Fawcett, revealed that she too is battling cancer.

Sara Evans

Country star Sara Evans who has a rabid fan following on the ABC show "Dancing with the Stars" is battling another "cancer" of our society--DIVORCE. A network spokesperson announced yesterday that the singer would be pulling out of the competition due to "personal reasons." In a statement released by her publicist, it was revealed that Evans had filed for divorce from husband Craig Schelske. According to news reports, Evans who is the mother of three young children (ranging in age from 2 to 7), made the decision to leave the show "to give her family her full attention at this difficult time." Evans, who was partnered with professional dancer Tony Dovolani, will make her final appearance on the show on October 17th.

Hilary Duff

According to PEOPLE magazine, the teen queen has been dealing with her own "personal hell" recently. The magazine reports that Duff has been "aggressively stalked by two men over the last six weeks and fears for her life." According to court documents filed Thursday on behalf of the 19-year-old singer-actress, Duff claims the two men have "made repeated contact with her manager, showed up at her mother's house, and even an L.A. market she frequents." In addition, the court documents allege that one of the men said he intended to physically harm Duff and those close to her in order to get the actress' attention. Duff is asking a judge to order that the two men stay 100 feet away from her, her boyfriend, and their family members.
