Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler Have a Son

When Kristy Swanson was invited in 2005 to appear on "Skating with the Celebrities," I bet she did not think it would change her life as it did. I also think the producers could not have dreamed up the scandal that it caused.

The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star had a boyfriend at the time. The skater she was partnered up with, Lloyd Eisler, was married to Marcia, his wife of three years. They had one young son and another one on the way. Eisler had won five Canadian pairs skating championships, the 1993 World Figure Skating Championships, and a bronze medal in both the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympics. He seemed like a very talented and accomplished partner. And he was. Not only did Swanson win "Skating with the Celebrities," she also won her partner as well.

As the two practiced, rumors started about a possible romantic relationship. Eisler's ex-wife Marcia visited the set and felt that things were not quite right, but did not confront her husband until November 2005. It was after she had received a forwarded email from Swanson that Eisler had sent her. Eisler moved out and the two became officially separated on November 30, 2005, two weeks before their second son Seth was born. It was quite a scandal and provided much fodder for the tabloids. In February 2006, 43-year-old Eisler announced he was officially dating the 36-year-old former Playboy playmate. Marcia resumed her maiden name after the divorce was final, also changing the last names of both children as well.

In August 2006, Eisler and Swanson announced that they were expecting a baby. Last Friday, little Magnus Hart Swanson Eisler was born in Los Angeles. He weighed 7 pounds and 11 ounces. This is the first child for Swanson. Swanson was quoted as saying she was ecstatic about the birth and Eisler said he loves being a father. The couple, who live in Los Angeles, have said they plan to wed, but have not set a date yet.
