Justin Timberlake-Fashion Designer?

You make not buy his music, but perhaps you'll consider purchasing a pant of his pants (or, at least a pair that he helped design). Pop star Justin Timberlake is adding another title to his growing resume---fashion designer.

Timberlake unveiled his William Rast clothing line last night. According to PEOPLE magazine, the 25-year old Grammy-winner took over one of Hollywood's hottest nightspots to host a fashion show that attracted dozens of his A-list friends, including Wilmer Valderrama, Timberlake's girlfriend, Cameron Diaz, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Maroon 5's Adam Levine and Patrick Dempsey, aka Dr. McDreamy from TV's "Grey's Anatomy."

The magazine says Timberlake started William Rast less than a year ago with his childhood friend Trace Ayala. They named the brand after their grandfathers. They decided to name their spring 2007 collection: "Street Sexy."

So, what exactly is "Street Sexy" fashion? Timberlake didn't say, but judging by what was on the runway--skinny jeans for men and women, topped with tanks or muscle shirts; country-inspired checkered shirts for men decorated with ruffles; and for women cropped cardigans, shrunken sweater dresses and puffy-sleeved blouses with bows at the neck-I would guess it is a cross between disco and country (just a guess).

But, the singer/designer's line wasn't exclusively casual wear. Dressier attire included (for men) plaid blazers with attached leather vests over slim-fitting slacks and (for women) a polka-dotted 1950s-style dress had a full skirt, puffy sleeves and a black ribbon belt. Accessories included oversized belt buckles and chunky pendants. According to PEOPLE "one was a skull, another looked like a grenade."

And, what would a fashion show for a pop rock star's designs be without a dance off towards the end of the show? According to audience members, four men in jeans, T-shirts and plaid sweater vests busted a move on the runway, "break dancing, somersaulting, pop-locking and head-spinning like it was 1984."

Well, if nothing else the clothes must at least be comfortable--if you can break dance in them then I'm sure you can run after children in them.
