Jodie Sweetin and Hubby Split

"Full House" actress Jodie Sweetin has filed for legal separation from husband Cody Herpin today in Orange County, California. The couple married in July 2007 and their first child, daughter Zoie, was born last April. The two had also just announced that they were working together on a reality show, but apparently that is in the dumpster now.

Herpin, a set designer, told PEOPLE magazine (http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20241906,00.html) that he was "dumbfounded" when Sweetin left the house with seven month old Zoie. He expressed concern about his daughter, saying "over this past month, something has been different."

Hopefully, Sweetin has not fallen off the wagon. After playing the middle child Stephanie Tanner on "Full House," Sweetin's life spiraled out of control. She began drinking at the age of 13, and then started doing crystal methamphetamine. The drug usage caused five of her teeth to rot out and in March 2005, she was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning, heart arrhythmia, and hypothermia. At the time, Sweetin was married to Los Angeles policeman Shaun Holguin Houston (the couple divorced in 2006).

"Full House" co-stars Bob Saget, John Stamos, and the Olson Twins Mary-Kate and Ashely reportedly staged an intervention, persuading Sweetin to go to Promises rehab center. Since getting clean, rumors are that Sweetin had planned on penning a memoir, tentatively titled "Wild Cards," about her troubled times.

Sweetin hasn't worked much since "Full House" ended in 1995. She was featured in one episode of "Brotherly Love" and "Yes, Dear" and two episodes of "Party of Five." She did a voiceover in 2006's Farce of the Penguins and can currently be seen in Small Bits of Happiness.

Sweetin, 26, had called Herpin a "blessing" for helping to turn her life around. Stella Alex, Sweetin's agent, said the actress is still "absolutely clean" but the separation comes at a time when the couple decided to go different paths in their lives.

Did she marry this guy before or after she became pregnant? I can't remember if it was a shotgun wedding?

Um, according to IMDB, they were married on July 14, 2007 and the baby was born on April 12, 2008, so not a shotgun wedding, but she and her first husband were married in July. Maybe she should avoid that month for weddings from now on!
