He seemed almost manically gleeful when talking about the overall greatness of Scientology and spoke about how only Scientologists could save the world. I enjoyed a great lunch with my family today and when I got in the car to return to work, I checked CNN as I often do. I was shocked to see the headline “Katie Holmes Files for Divorce from Tom Cruise,” then I was shocked at the fact that I was shocked. It’s not like we haven’t been through this before. Tom Cruise has been many things –movie star, three time husband, father of three, Scientologist spokesman – but one would hardly call him humble. Soul Legend Isaac Hayes Dead at 65

I had a wonderful day of shopping in Wilmington only to come home to read the sad news that Isaac Hayes had died. I guess this hit home more than some deaths because Isaac was from my hometown of Memphis. The Grammy and Oscar winner was found unconscious in his home, next to his treadmill that was still running according to a spokeman for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.
