Hollywood's Most Married - Part II

I thought it strange that I started to blog about celebs with the most marriages under their belt and ended up doing one whole blog about Elizabeth Taylor. There were really many more I wanted (and will) talk about. But then I starting thinking - oh, I forgot the queens of them all - the Gabor Sisters. Talk about your serial brides! Zsa Zsa, Eva, and Magda have had 21 marriages between them...and 20 divorces. Zsa Zsa is currently on her ninth marriage, Magda had six, and Eva had five. Incredibly, their mother, Jolie, was married only twice - to each husband until their death. Zsa Zsa should have made my short marriages blog - she was married to Felipe de Alba for one day before they had it annulled. It was a good idea to have that one annulled because technically, she was not divorced from husband number seven before she married Felipe. Details, details - who has time for such details when they are madly in love?

Moving right along, you might think the female celebrities are the only ones with multiple marriages, but think again. Mickey Rooney, who has been a star for at least 100 years it seems (okay, only 80 years in cinema), is on his ninth marriage. Andy Hardy may not have been seeing any action, but Mickey definitely was. His first wife was stunning beauty Ava Garner, but that lasted less than two years. His ninth marriage, to actress Jan Rooney, has lasted 28 years - longer than all his other marriages combined. Is Mickey bitter about all the divorces? Hardly! He's been quoted as saying (when asked if he would marry all the women again) "Absolutely. I loved every one of them."

And, let us not forget talk show host Larry King. He is on marriage number seven, but maybe he has finally found the one. Larry and actress Shawn Southwick have been married for almost ten years, a record for Larry.

So who is the next Liz or Mickey as far as multiple marriages? I do not know, but my money is on Lisa Marie Presley, who at age 38 has just entered her fourth marriage. One of her husbands, Nicolas Cage, is on his third marriage, and one husband, Michael Jackson...well, let's not go there just right now. He is definitely a blog all unto himself.

Love it! I didn't realize Mickey Rooney had been married so many times. Wow!

I didn't realize his showbiz career was the longest at 80 years until I did the research. Dang, that is a long time to be alive, much less to have a career that long! Kudos to Mickey!
