No Criminal Case in Heath Ledger’s Death

They know he died from an accidental drug overdose, but federal prosecutors wanted to learn how actor Heath Ledger obtained the powerful painkillers that contributed to his death. But, now, it appears that will remain a mystery. Yesterday prosecutors overseeing a Drug Enforcement Administration investigation into whether the painkillers found in Ledger’s system were obtained illegally decided not to pursue criminal charges against the person who supplied the actor with the drugs. Law enforcement officials say they bowed out of the probe “because they don’t believe there’s a viable target.” The announcement comes less than 24 hours after actress Mary-Kate … Continue reading

Probe Continues Into Heath Ledger’s Death

We know Heath Ledger died (an all too early death), but federal agents say they still don’t know how the actor obtained the powerful painkillers Oxycontin and Vicodin that contributed to his passing. According to new reports released by federal drug agents, no bottles for those drugs were found in Ledger’s apartment. However, the report does say that bottles were located in various parts of the actor’s home for other prescriptions such as sleeping pills and anti-anxiety drugs, which medical examiners found in his system at the time of his death. Drug Enforcement Administration agents reveal that they recently interviewed … Continue reading

A sunset plunge, drinks, and live music… they sound like the recipe for a typical beach party, not a post-funeral get together. But, those saying their final farewell to Heath Ledger will tell you the actor wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. “Dungeons & Dragons” Creator Dies

To “Dungeons & Dragons” die-hards E. Gary Gygax was a giant. To residents of Wisconsin (like me) he was a quiet man who lived in a large home along Lake Geneva. Now both groups are mourning his death. According to news reports, Gygax died of an abdominal aneurysm. He was 69. He is considered the “father of modern gaming” and he has “Dungeons & Dragons” to thank for putting him on the map. In 1974, Gygax developed “Dungeons & Dragons” with Dave Arneson. In addition, he was involved in founding Tactical Studies Rules, which published “Dungeons & Dragons” and other … Continue reading
