Halle Berry Is Pregnant

Actress Halle Berry is on top of the world. She just went public announcing she is three months pregnant with her first child. Berry says the baby's father is her current boyfriend, 32-year-old model Gabriel Aubry.

In an email to her pal Nancy O'Dell of TV's "Access Hollywood" the Oscar winner wrote: "Gabriel and I are beyond excited and I've waited a long time for this moment in my life."

She went on to say the next 7 months will be the longest of her life. Berry says she will spend the time prepping her home for her new arrival, but there's something she won't be doing anytime soon: getting married.

The 41-year-old model turned actress has sworn off marriage. You'll recall she's been married twice before, once to pro baseball player David Justice and then to musician Eric Benét. Berry says both relationships soured her on marriage.

"I will never, never get married again," she said. "Actually, it's just that now I've come to a place where I think two people can share their lives without the ring, without the piece of paper."

Berry met Aubry while she was shooting a Versace ad in Los Angeles in November 2005. They went public with their relationship three months later at the opening of a Versace boutique in New York City. Since then she has kept her private life just that--private. She even skirted the topic of Aubry with good pal Oprah Winfrey during a recent appearance on the queen of talk's daytime show.

However, one topic Berry has not been shy about discussing is her desire to be a mom. Back in April, the actress opened up to O'Dell and revealed her plan to add to her family:

"Not that there's not more to accomplish, but I think I arrived at a point in life that I realized I needed more to get me up in the morning. More than going to a new movie set. Or as much fun as getting the star was yesterday, I need something even more profound than that and that's family. And that's children," Berry said. " I need that like the air to breathe these days and I'm ready. I'm at a point where I'm really, really ready."

I've always wondered how someone as drop dead gorgeous as Halle Berry could be so unlucky in love. I've always been astounded by the fact that her two ex-husbands treated her so poorly. Most guys would give their right arm and both legs to be with someone like her and there's Justice allegedly pushing her around and Benet cheating on her. Crazy!

Personally, I'm thrilled Berry is pregnant. She's been tight-lipped about her relationship with Aubry so who knows what kind of person he is. Regardless, he now holds the title millions of men dreamed of: father of Halle Berry's child.
