So This is Why They Split

Yes, I know he doesn’t know I am alive. And yes, I know that even if he did it’s unlikley that he would give me more than the time of day (if that). Still, I joined millions of other women around the world in breathing a sigh of relief when h-h-h-HOTtie George Clooney split with uber-gorgeous model Sarah Larson a few weeks back. While some had them pegged to walk down the aisle together, confirmed bachelor Clooney had other ideas. According to reports, the “Leatherheads” star was the one who ended the relationship with the stunning Larson. So what was … Continue reading

George Clooney the Peacemaker

In 1997 George Clooney starred in a movie with Nicole Kidman called “The Peacemaker.” In the film Kidman plays a nuclear expert and Clooney a Special Forces Intelligence Officer. Both are called to investigate a train crash in Russia that includes a nuclear payload, only neither Clooney nor Kidman’s characters believe the crash was an “accident.” It was a sleeper of a movie, but its title is quite fitting to describe the role Clooney is now playing in the real life drama that involves two rival Hollywood actors unions. The handsome star is pleading with the warring factions to put … Continue reading

George Clooney—–Peace Keeper

He has been called many a name in his lifetime (most of the negative ones came courtesy of Fabio), but George Clooney says “peace keeper” is not one he is referred to very often. However, if the shoe fits… The handsome actor is back in the headlines again today after donating $5.6 million to help the United Nations peacekeeping force in war-torn Sudan buy a fleet of helicopters. How’s that for digging deep? Clooney, who was recently named a U.N. Messenger of Peace, has been one of the most outspoken celebrity advocates for the victims in the impoverished Darfur region. … Continue reading

Hollywood Invades Kentucky

Good ol’ George Clooney is at it again. The hunky Oscar-winner is taking a break from aiding those in the war-torn Darfur region and giving some Kentucky residents a chance to get glammed up Hollywood style. For one night, the tiny town of Maysville, Kentucky will go Hollywood thanks to their famous hometown hero. On Monday night the 46-year-old actor-director will visit the northern Kentucky town for a special screening of his new movie, “Leatherheads.” “The whole town is abuzz,” Maysville’s mayor told news reporters. The former “ER” hottie, who went on to win an Academy Award for his role … Continue reading

REAL or RUMOR? Clooney Heading Back to “ER” and Madonna Getting Divorced

CLOONEY HEADING BACK TO “ER” He has won an Oscar and a Golden Globe since leaving “ER” nearly a decade ago and now rumors are circulating that George Clooney might be heading back to the show that helped make him famous. Turns out this one is pure rumor. But, oh how I wish this one was true. I really haven’t watched the hit NBC drama series since Clooney’s character, the hunky Dr. Doug “you-can-examine-me-anytime” Ross, left in 1999. Clooney tells TV’s “Entertainment Tonight” that the story came out of nowhere and took on a life of its own. Bottom line, … Continue reading

Pop Culture Potpourri: Actor’s Dogs are Not Killers and Clooney’s Latest Award

Ving Rhames’ dogs didn’t kill anyone. Or so claims a new report that was compiled after an exhaustive five-month investigation. According to the Los Angeles Department of Coroner, 40-year-old Jacob Adams, the man who was found dead on the front lawn of the actor’s L.A. home back in August was not mauled to death by Rhames’ dogs as police first reported. Rather, the coroner found that Adams “died because of a preexisting heart problem.” As for the dog bites found on him the coroner determined they were “non-fatal.” Rhames was out of the country filming a movie when his friend … Continue reading

George Clooney Nobel Peace Prize Winner?

It appears he may be well on his way. The handsome actor who has graced many a magazine cover is making headlines again—-this time though, it has nothing to do with his relationship with Fabio or his comments about Britney Spears. George Clooney along with celeb pal Don Cheadle are being honored for their efforts to bring peace to Africa’s war-torn Darfur region. But the honor is not being bestowed upon the two actors by just anyone. Clooney and Cheadle will be flying to Rome next month to accept the 2007 Peace Summit Award from the 8th World Summit of … Continue reading
