Golden Globes: Did Jodie Foster Come Out?

Last night’s Golden Globes was a great night of pretty dresses, good jokes, lots of drinks, and a few odd moments.  I have to lump Jodie Foster’s speech under the odd category. The actress (who I think is absolutely incredible at her craft) received the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.  She walked on stage looking stunning – the blue dress was beautiful and matched her eye color perfectly.  She looked gorgeous and young, but reminded the crowd she was 50. Former North Carolina Senator Jesse Helms Dead at 86

Conservative politician Jesse Helms has died at the age of 86. The cause of death was not announced, but he had been in poor health in recent years. Upon hearing of his death, President Bush said of Helms, “Sen. Helms has been a tireless defender of our nation’s freedom and a champion of democracy abroad.” Helms was a North Carolina Republican who was considered by many to be a conservative icon. While one long time lesbian couple (Jodie Foster and Cydney Bernard) is rumored to have broken up, another fairly high profile lesbian couple is set to tie the knot. FOSTER DUMPS GAL PAL Actress Jodie Foster is parenting solo these days. According to reports, the movie maven has split with her live-in partner Cydney Bernard. Interestingly, news of the break-up comes less than six months after the extremely private star thanked Bernard for 14 years of “loving support” at an awards ceremony.
