Eva Longoria's Wedding Showers

It's been a bridal rainstorm for Desperate Housewives co-star Eva Longoria. The actress just wrapped up a bridal shower marathon that netted her some nifty gifts. Longoria is planning to marry fiancé Tony Parker in Paris on July 7th, and the countdown to the big day is officially ON.

According to entertainment news shows, Longoria's Desperate Housewives co-stars spared no expense when they threw her not one, but two wedding showers earlier this week. The first was a coed bash, hosted by cast member Felicity Huffman and Longoria's best friend Brittany Olson.

Reports say Longoria's fellow castmates Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Brenda Strong, along with her hairstylist Ken Paves showed up at Huffman's Los Angeles home on Sunday for an outdoor bash. And by all accounts, they participated in typical shower activities, including the time-honored game of making wedding gowns - out of toilet paper. (Hatcher reportedly walked away the winner.)

As for the gifts... well, as you can imagine they were not your typical toasters and blenders. Rather, guests were instructed to give the couple gifts for each room of their house. According to party insiders, Longoria and Parker walked away with vintage mirrors for their living room and a set of Calphalon cookware and a library of 30 cookbooks signed by top chefs, including Wolfgang Puck and Mario Batali.

Then less than 24 hours later the girls did it all over again. According to PEOPLE magazine, on Monday evening Hatcher threw a girls-only bridal shower at her home.

Guests say Hatcher had them playing games as soon as they walked through the door. For one game guests were each given a garter, which they had to hand over if they were caught using the words "Tony," "Paris" or "dress" during the party.

No word on what Longoria was gifted at this party, but the magazine did say what the guests walked away with in their goody bags--Swarovski crystal candleholders.
