Dog: Elephant’s Best Friend

I’ve wanted to post this video for a long time. However, I try to space out my articles about cute animal videos, or unlikely animal best friends, and this is one of both. It just might edge out the hand-holding otters for my favorite animal video on the internet. A few months ago CBS Evening News highlighted the extraordinary events at The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee. The other day a friend of mine sarcastically suggested that certain cable news shows should come with a PG-13 rating. If you have tweens or teens, you probably don’t do a lot of news censoring. However, if your kids are 12 or younger, you might be hesitant to allow your son or daughter to flip on CNN, MSNBC or Fox News without your permission, or more importantly, your presence in the room. Is it “Bay-jing,” “Bay-zhing” or “Bay-zheeng”? The 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China are rapidly coming to a close and I have yet to view a day of coverage where broadcasters are on the same page when it comes to pronouncing the host city’s name. Have you noticed this too? Fox News Channel’s Brit Hume has left the building. Well, he’s not quite gone for good, but he’s on his way out. According to Hume’s rep, the network’s top political anchor is expected to leave his daily newscast at the end of the year. But even then he won’t be gone for good. The 65-year-old is expected to sign on for a part-time role at Fox. Reports say Hume will continue as a panelist on “Fox News Sunday” and work at Fox News Channel during special events.
