Diane Sawyer Slammed By A Fellow Journalist

I like Diane Sawyer. Whereas I have never met the award-winning television journalist in person, as a former television news reporter, I often studied her work to improve on my own. I certainly don’t think she is perfect (who is), but I must say I disagree with the recent move a fellow journalist made in publicly bashing Sawyer during his review of her primetime TV special on poverty, which airs tonight. Nicole Breaks Her Silence

Not only did she not get to interview Paris Hilton, but now word has it Barbara Walters has been snubbed by Nicole Richie as well. According to ABC News, Hilton’s BFF chose to spill her guts to Walters’ colleague Diane Sawyer instead. On August second and third, Sawyer will broadcast parts of her interview with the “Simple Life” star on “Good Morning America.” The interview will be shown in its entirety on the August 3rd episode of “20/20.” The sit down with Sawyer marks Richie’s interview since her self-imposed media silence.
