Olympians Sizzling Bodies May Be Too Hot for China

If you needed incentive to get your body in shape then the Summer Olympics came just in time. Good gracious, have you seen the killer bods these elite athletes are sporting? Seriously, U.S. swimmer Dara Torres could have ignited the Olympic flame during the opening ceremony via spontaneous combustion had she simply marched into the stadium wearing her bikini. Her body is so ripped I try to block out the fact that she gave birth just two years ago. Michael Phelps is cut like a rack of lamb, as is the entire U.S. men’s gymnastics team (or all the gymnasts … Continue reading

What is it like to have been in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles or the 1988 Games in Seoul, South Korea? How about the 1992 Games in Barcelona or the 2000 Games in Sydney, Australia? If you want to know, you can ask just one 2008 Beijing Olympian – 41 year old American swimmer Dara Torres. Dara will be the first swimmer to appear in five Olympic Games when she competes this week in Beijing in the 50 meter freestyle, the 4 x 100 medley relay, and the 4 x 100 freestyle relay. In her four previous Olympic … Continue reading

Athletes Stripped of Olympic Medals – Part 1

I cannot imagine the dedication it takes to make it to the Olympic Games, but it must come down to the fact that that sport is your entire life. So, you would think the athletes would take it very, very seriously. But, then medal winners like Ara Abrahamian let the judges decision get to them and now, not only does he not have his bronze medal from the Beijing Olympics, I feel his reputation as an athlete is tarnished. But, Abrahamian is not the first athlete to have his medal stripped by the International Olympic Committee. Yes, it is their … Continue reading

Swedish Wrestler Refuses Medal

You have to figure that most athletes who go to an Olympic Games have trained for it much of their life. Many put anything else in life on hold to train, train, and train. So I understand that emotions run high, whether you win or lose. Roman wrestler Ara Abrahamian won a medal this week, something most people dream about, but he was none to happy about it. It seems the 33 year old Swede was none too happy with the judges in the 84k Greco-roman competition. Abrahamian won a silver medal in Athens in 2004 and I suppose the … Continue reading
