People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) held its 30th anniversary gala this past Saturday night at the Hollywood Palladium. Hosted by Alec Baldwin, plenty of celebs turned out to support the cause. The organization handed out Humanitarian Awards to Eli Roth, Olivia Munn, Dave Navarro, Joanna Krupa, Emily and Rose McCoy, Kellan Lutz, Charo, Lea Michele, Eva Mendes, and Anjelica Huston. Is “Dancing with the Stars” cursed? If you are contestant on the show you might think so. This season alone Jane Seymour’s mom died while her nimble daughter was strutting her stuff on live TV. Then, contestant Marie Osmond collapsed in front of millions of viewers following her dance number. And just last week Seymour was rushed from the “Dancing” set to the hospital after a bout of food poisoning. Jane Seymour Suffers A Major Loss

This has nothing to do with Jane Seymour’s performance on last night’s “Dancing with the Stars.” In fact, at this hour I highly doubt the award-winning actress is even thinking about the quickstep, mambo, or cha cha. Seymour’s 92-year-old mother, Mieke Frankenberg, passed away in England on Monday due to complications from a stroke she suffered earlier this year, according to the actress’ rep. Samantha Harris should have known better. The E! News correspondent and Dancing with the Stars co-host stated publicly (on numerous occasions) that she planned to appear on the popular ABC dance contest until mid-October, that’s when Harris was due to give birth to her first child.
