“Dancing with the Stars” the Truth Finally Comes Out

Come on, is there any fan of “Dancing with the Stars” that truly believes that Marie Osmond should be dancing in tonight’s final? Bless the woman’s heart (and her dancing skills), but let’s be realistic here. It’s no secret that the 48-year-old singer was carried to the final three based on two words: sympathy vote. The mom of eight has a huge fan base that obviously felt compelled to call and text in by the tens of thousands especially once they saw their beloved Osmond collapse on national TV, deal with the death of her father, and come clean about … Continue reading

Celebrity “REAL” or “RUMOR”—“Dancing” Star Gets Engagement Ring

“Dancing with the Stars” hottie Julianne Hough is the proud new owner of a diamond and18-karat, white-gold ring. Only it didn’t come from her fiancé. Or, make that, former fiancé. Rather, the mega-watt sparkler was a gift from someone who wants to be her new fiancé—-actor Kevin Connolly. The 33-year-old “Entourage” star is in L-O-V-E with the 19-year-old professional dancer. At least that’s what he told Howard Stern on his radio show. Last week Connolly told Stern that he has been “actively pursuing” Hough since meeting her at a Los Angeles hot spot last month. It is no RUMOR! The … Continue reading

“Dancing with the Stars” Curse—Another Death

Is “Dancing with the Stars” cursed? If you are contestant on the show you might think so. This season alone Jane Seymour’s mom died while her nimble daughter was strutting her stuff on live TV. Then, contestant Marie Osmond collapsed in front of millions of viewers following her dance number. And just last week Seymour was rushed from the “Dancing” set to the hospital after a bout of food poisoning. Now, more bad luck has befallen Osmond-—her 90-year-old father George Osmond died this morning. Ironically, Marie’s famous brother Donny was on the set of TV’s “Entertainment Tonight” preparing to tape … Continue reading

Marie Osmond—Her Lips are Flapping But is Anything Coming Out?

Here we go again… Apparently, there are very few stars in Hollywood who understand that there are benefits to remaining mum on certain topics. No, discretion is not a celebrity strong point and Marie Osmond is a perfect example. The former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant has decided the world would be a better place if we all knew how she felt about the Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair picture brouhaha. Yesterday, Osmond went public blaming Miley’s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus for leaving his 15-year-old daughter alone during the photo shoot (F.Y.I. Miley’s grandmother and teacher remained with the teen when … Continue reading

Celeb Updates: Anchors Away for Danny PLUS Donny and Marie Reunite to Crown a Queen

When I wrote about Rosie O’ Donnell’s offer to have ousted “American Idol” contestant Danny Noriega perform on her cruise ship I didn’t think she meant NOW. Apparently, she did and he accepted and now the two (plus a ship full of other passengers) are on their way to Mexico. And if you don’t believe it O’Donnell’s got the video to prove it. The former “View” co-host posted a video clip of the 18-year-old former “Idol” contestant and his cousin on board the ship used for O’Donnell’s R Family Vacations. “Look who’s on the cruise,” O’Donnell screams to viewers on … Continue reading

Freddie’s Back, Marie Lands a Talk Show, and Britney Sued

If you loved the Nightmare on Elm Street horror movies, you are in luck! New Line is talking to horror production company Platinum Dunes about reviving the movie franchise once again. The Nightmare movies helped put New Line on the studio map in 1984. Made by Wes Craven, it spawned five sequels, television shows, and created a new horror king in Freddie Krueger, the child killing, burned face, razor gloved villain. Of course, everything is on hold until the writer’s strike ends and a screenwriter can be found. The producers – Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form – say … Continue reading

Eddie Murphy Gets Hitched and Marie Osmond Embraces the Single Life

After several months of delays and threats of cancellation Eddie Murphy and fiancée Tracey Edmonds decided to just do it. The couple reportedly wed on New Year’s Day on a private island in French Polynesia. According to PEOPLE Magazine, the lavish affair was attended by a very small group (less than 30) of family and friends. However, what the wedding lacked in numbers it made up for in elegance. Oprah’s pal, renowned event coordinator Colin Cowie, reportedly created a gazebo on the beach made out of 6,000 shells for the couple’s sunset oceanside ceremony. Cowie also flew in a four-layered … Continue reading

Marie Osmond’s Two-Stepping Look-A-Like Doll

Faster than you can say Paso Doble, Marie Osmond has moved from ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” to QVC. Did you see it? Last night QVC unveiled Osmond’s new limited collection “Dancing with the Stars” dolls. The 12-inch porcelain dolls are dressed in the same costumes the 48-year-old singer wore on the show. Osmond is hawking the Boogie Woogie doll dressed in the same WWII-era military-inspired costume she wore when she dedicated her “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” jive to her parents. Then, there’s the Paso Doble doll decked out in the Spanish senorita outfit Osmond wore. The Samba doll is … Continue reading

Celebrities Giving Back this Thanksgiving

Some Thanksgiving diners got a side of celebrity with their turkey meals yesterday. A handful of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Harrison Ford, Kirk Douglas, and Calista Flockhart spread the holiday spirit at Los Angeles’ downtown mission doling out drumsticks, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie during the center’s annual Thanksgiving Day feast. The hot holiday meals were served to more than 3,000 of the area’s homeless people. Some stars brought their children and turned the event into a family affair. Actress Nia Long had her 7-year-old son place rolls on plates while she dished up vegetables. Meanwhile, … Continue reading

Turkeys and an Olive Branch

TURKEYS He’s no longer around to personally hand out the holiday birds, but a Thanksgiving tradition the “Godfather of Soul” James Brown started more than a decade ago is still going strong. Brown died of heart failure last Christmas, but today his program, designed to help those less fortunate, kicked off with great success. Brown’s longtime friend and civil rights activist Al Sharpton was on hand in the late singer’s hometown of Augusta, Georgia to hand out the first turkey of the season. The legendary entertainer started giving away free turkeys in 1991 and since then event organizers say more … Continue reading
