Maria Shriver’s Challenge to Parent her Parents and Bristol Palin Struggles as a Teen Mom

Maria Shriver is the mother of four children, but she doesn’t want you to ask her for parenting advice. Rather, California’s First Lady says she is just as lost as the rest of us. She may be part of the powerful Kennedy clan and married to actor turned California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, but Shriver maintains that has not helped her avoid daily challenges that come with raising four teenagers, and parenting her own ailing parents. “I don’t have it all together … the road is bumpy, and I don’t have any shame in sharing that,” the 53-year-old mom recently told … Continue reading

Carey’s Record Breaking Chart-toppers and Aniston’s Off the Chart New Project

“Touch My Body” by Mariah Carey, have you heard it on the radio? I haven’t, but after learning it recently made history I’m somewhat anxious to hear if it lives up to the hype. “Touch My Body” just became Carey’s 18th hit single and subsequently the pop diva has now passed Elvis Presley for the most No. 1 singles on the Billboard singles chart, and is now second only to the Beatles (the group holds the record with 20). It’s quite an accomplishment regardless of how you feel about Carey’s music or her image. Speaking of her image, Carey was … Continue reading

Celebrity Updates: Maria and Dave

No matter what happens with her husband’s political career don’t expect Maria Shriver to return to TV news. Mrs. Arnold Schwarzenegger says she has Anna Nicole Smith to thank for that decision. Shriver made the announcement about her career earlier this week during the annual California Governor and First Lady’s Conference on Women. You’ll recall Shriver took an extended leave from her job at NBC News when her husband ran for California governor in 2003. After he was elected, Shriver made two appearances as an anchor for “Dateline NBC.” A few months later she told her bosses that she could … Continue reading

“Tropic Thunder” Rocks Groups Representing the Mentally Disabled

But not in a good way. The summer movie starring Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. premiered in Los Angeles a couple of days ago, but the flick which is supposed to elicit laughs from its high profile comedic actors is instead drawing ire from the American Association of People with Disabilities. Dozens of representatives from the American Association of People with Disabilities and the Special Olympics joined forces Monday night to protest the movie for what they consider is its blatant degradation of intellectually challenged individuals. The protesters held up signs with slogans such as “Call me by my … Continue reading

Oprah Furious with Phil

I told you Dr. Phil has no friends… Just days after Dr. Phil McGraw’s pathetic attempt at a public apology regarding his role in the Britney Spears brouhaha hit airways the TV shrink’s famous boss is reportedly steaming. Like a bad rash this story just won’t go away. Today, even more fallout from Dr. Phil’s controversial meeting with the 26-year-old trainwreck is making headlines and this time it centers on McGraw’s gravy train conductor Oprah Winfrey. First Brit’s parents publicly reamed the syndicated talk show host for blabbing to the media about his visit to the derailed singer while she … Continue reading

Ted Kennedy to Pen His Memoirs

Well, this could be REALLY interesting. The last surviving brother of the famed Kennedy clan is writing his memoirs. While the amount paid is unknown, some speculate that Ted’s price is comparable to that of Hillary Rodham Clinton for her “Living History” ($8 million) and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair for his upcoming memoirs ($9 million). Kennedy said he decided to write the book because “I’ve been fortunate in my life to grow up in an extraordinary family and to have a front row seat at many key events in our nation’s history.” Yeah, I guess he could say … Continue reading
