Celebrity Good Week/Bad Week News

More ups and downs for our favorite celebs this week:

It's been a bad week for. . .Lindsay Lohan

The young actress has lamented to Interview magazine about how she envies the career of her peer Scarlett Johansson. Lindsay said what has hurt her most is that "I work just as hard as any other actress around my age, like Scarlett Johansson, but I just don't get the opportunities that they get because people are so distracted by the mess that I created in my life. But that doesn't mean it's going to last forever." Would that be Scarlett Johansson who has pretty much kept her private life private and stayed off drugs (as far as we know)?

It's been a good week for. . .Rachel Griffiths

The "Brothers & Sisters" star just announced she is pregnant with her third child. Once can only hope she goes the traditional naming route (as she did with daughter Adelaide) instead of the typical celebrity naming route (as she seemed to do with son Banjo, named after an Australian poet's nickname).

It's been a bad week for. . . Jeremy Piven

The "Entourage" actor first caught grief from the public for withdrawing from the Broadway "Speed the Plow," citing mercury poisoning due to eating too much sushi and taking herbal supplements. Now, the producers of the show have filed a grievance with Actors' Equity, asking that an independent evaluation of any medical evidence that points to mercury poisoning be done.

It's been a good week for. . . Barack Obama

Our soon to be forty fourth president Barack Obama is having a great week leading up to his inauguration. The whole country seems to be in a frenzy about this event! It was revealed yesterday that Beyonce will sing for Barack and Michelle as they take their first official dance at the Neighborhood Ball on Tuesday.

It's been a bad week for. . . Bobby Flay

Iron Chef Bobby Flay has been hit with a lawsuit that states that his restaurants in New York, Las Vegas, and Atlantic City are cheating the workers. Former and current employees filed the suit that says Flay's company is violating the law by engaging in improper tip-pooling practices, failing to pay proper overtime, and failing to reimburse employees for certain expenses.
