Celebrity Corner-All Gone!

In my previous blog: "Celebrity Corner--Going, Going, Gone" I made a remark about Billy Ray Cyrus' miraculous longevity on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." Last night his run on the dance competition came to an end and now he is GONE!

But, he isn't alone. Recently, a number of other celebrities have gotten the boot (or decided to leave on their own) from a variety of venues:

Duane "Dog" Chapman and his wife were given the boot from a United Airlines flight early Monday morning after they allegedly yelled and swore at a flight attendant. According to news reports, Los Angeles airport police questioned the reality-television stars after flight attendants complained that the Chapman's were being unruly.

According to police reports, the United Airlines flight bound from Los Angeles to Denver returned to the gate shortly after pushback because of a disruption caused by the Chapmans. A spokesperson for the airline told reporters: "The disruption on the flight affected our other customers on the flight and our safety regulations."

Police say no one was arrested; rather the Chapman's were rebooked on another flight. No word on what caused the Chapman's to raise the ruckus... maybe they aren't morning people?

Meanwhile, Nancy Grace is also a goner. She announced today that she is ending her show, "Nancy Grace: Closing Arguments," on Court TV after more than a decade with the network.

"Court TV will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will always look back at my time there with great gratitude and affection," Grace said.

According to Grace, she simply didn't have enough time to devote to both her Court TV show and her legal analysis program, "Nancy Grace," on CNN Headline News.

So she chose CNN over Court TV. I'm not surprised. After all, her Headline News ratings are much higher and she seems to stir up more controversy on CNN. Her highly charged comments regarding the search for Natalee Holloway and the Scott Peterson trial landed her in the headlines on a number of occasions. Then last year, Grace became a household name when she interviewed Melinda Duckett on her Headline News show about the disappearance of Duckett's 2-year-old son. Two days later Duckett killed herself before the pre-taped interview aired---many speculated that Grace's unrelenting accusations led to Duckett taking her own life.
