Celebrity Babies--What's In a Name?

Well, what do you expect when your mom's name is Soleil?

Former "Punky Brewster" star, Soleil Moon Frye and her husband, Jason Goldberg, are now the proud parents of a second daughter, according to the actress' rep.

And what did the young Hollywood couple decide to name their new baby girl?

Jagger Joseph Blue Goldberg.

That's right... Jagger Joseph. Though, for all we know she could be called Blue or Jag or Joey or JJ or some other convoluted moniker that has nothing to do with the child's given name.

What the couple won't be calling their newest addition, who was born Monday in L.A., is Poet Sienna Rose. That's the name of the pair's 2-year-old daughter and if she's like your typical toddler she won't want to be sharing anything with her new baby sister---especially her name.

We'll just have to wait to see if Frye and Goldberg stick with calling their bundle of joy Jagger or if something else sprouts once the baby goes home.

Country star Luke Bryan isn't waiting until his newborn is home before settling on a nickname.

The "All My Friends Say" singer and his wife, Caroline welcomed their first child, Thomas Boyer Bryan this morning at a Nashville area hospital.

The youngest Bryan gets his name from his father, whose real first name is Thomas while Boyer is his mother Caroline's maiden name.

Alas, his parents say they will do away with formalities and call their first child "Bo."

Finally, its not just celebrity babies whose names are making headlines.

Destiny Hope Cyrus a.k.a. Miley Cyrus a.k.a. Hannah Montana has decided she wants to be known simply as Miley Ray Cyrus.

Got that?

The 15-year-old daughter of singer Billy Ray Cyrus is asking a Los Angeles court to legally change her name "to make her commonly used name the same as her legal name."

According to Cyrus, her father gave her the nickname "Smiley Miley" as a baby because of her sunny disposition.

So what does Cyrus' name change say to all the little girls out there named Destiny?

They named their little girl Joseph? That is not to say I don't have a problem with Jagger or Blue but seriously, Joseph for a girl?

Yeah, the Joseph blew me away too. I've heard of men being named Mary centuries ago, but Joseph for a boy? Were they expecting a boy and hadn't picked out a girl's name or is this their last child and they figured they would name it Joesph no matter what gender it was... or maybe they are trying to start a new trend... who knows??
