Britney and Mario?

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. And in the paparazzi filled world of entertainment it usually happens sooner than later... the latest gossip: pop princess Britney Spears parties the night away with Mario "I got robbed on 'Dancing with the Stars'" Lopez. Fresh from filing divorce from her Kevin "Fed-Ex" Federline, Spears has reportedly taken her post-breakup tour to Las Vegas.

According to PEOPLE magazine, Spears hit the streets of Sin City with a group of friends including Lopez and her former manager Larry Rudolph. (Why is she hanging out with a "former" manager?) According to the magazine, the trip comes after spending time in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana (and a brief stop in New York where she infamously appeared on David Letterman's show just hours prior to filing the official divorce papers).

Now get this--sources tell the magazine that Spears donned a disguise of a pink wig and big, dark sunglasses, during a night out at the Palms Casino Resort Friday night. (I don't know about you, but if whenever I don't want to draw attention to myself I leave my pink wig at home.) Friday was evidently a busy night for Spears. PEOPLE says prior to heading to the Palms she went on a shopping trip to Caesars Palace's Forum Shops.

But, lest we all think that Spears is returning to her pre-marriage, pre-mom days of late night partying, Spears publicist was quick to clarify that the pop singer was in Vegas to work, and pointed out that Spears went into the Palms' recording studio with producer Lukasz Gottwald to mix tracks on her new album.

If the new album doesn't bring in record sales Spears could always try to make a living off the Palms' tables. According to PEOPLE, Spears scored big gambling at The Mint, the Palms' high-limit lounge. Sources there say Spears caught a lucky streak, raking in $10,000 in winnings from blackjack. It was there that Spears reportedly hooked up with Lopez before heading up to Moon Nightclub to party the night away.

Britney and Mario? Well, they can both dance.
