Bai Ling Arrested

Wow, when I saw the headline "Crow actress arrested on shoplifting suspicion" I never imagined it was Bai Ling. I remember Bai Ling for mainly two things: Her terrible singing on the bad reality show "But, Can They Sing?" which featured celebrities singing and for her odd clothing choices. If you have ever seen a picture of her in a magazine, you probably won't forget it. Her outfits are eccentric to say the least! But, apparently Bai has done much more. According to IMDb, she appeared in The Crow, Anna and the King, and even on the television shows "Lost" and "Entourage."

Bai was arrest at the Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday for supposedly shoplifting two celebrity magazines (which cause me to wonder, "Was she in them?") and two packets of batteries. The total cost for the items was $16 according to police sergeant Jim Holcomb. The 37-year-old actress was booked for investigation of a misdemeanor, but released after she promised to appear in court on March 5th.

The actress made no mention of the arrest on her web page and showed a photo of herself at the airport that day - not in handcuffs. She did however say, "Life is a sad song sometimes but still sings the beauty for their loved ones," whatever that means.

I would have thought she would have been doing okay for money. After all, it was only $16 - even I as a stay at home blogging mom can afford that! In addition, right now, Bai has seven movies either in post-production, pre-production, or filming.

When I researched the arrest a bit further, it seems there is more to the story. A close friend of Bai's, Damon Elliot, told E! that she was in a "mentally unstable" state of mind the day the arrest occurred due to a recent breakup with a new boyfriend.

Well, I guess breaking up right before Valentine's Day could be hard on anyone!
