Back Behind Bars!

Love her or hate her, you have to admit the drama surrounding Paris Hilton's jailing has reached a fever pitch. She's in. She's out. She's in again. Who knew that California jails had revolving doors?

As it stands now, the 26-year-old hotel heiress has been collected from her Hollywood home and taken back into custody after a judge ordered her to serve the remainder of her entire 45-day sentence behind bars. But, in true Hilton style that announcement was far from the most dramatic part of this morning's events.

If you had the chance to turn on any cable news network today you would have seen wall-to-wall coverage of the socialite's return to jail. From the emotional goodbye she shared with friends and family members at her home (caught by the 7 news helicopters that swarmed above her property) to the tearful snapshots of her sobbing in the backseat of a sheriff deputy's squad car as it drove her to the county courthouse.

Of course, all of that drama paled in comparison to what unfolded inside the courtroom late this morning. According to news reports, Hilton cried and trembled throughout the hour long hearing that ended with a judge ruling that the party princess be put back behind bars because the sheriff's department had not adequately submitted medical records supporting the reasons behind Hilton's transfer to house arrest. No, the moment that rocked the courthouse came shortly after the judge rendered the decision. "It's not right!" Hilton reportedly shouted.

Witnesses say she then called out to her mother who sat behind her in court: "Mom!" Kathy Hilton, accompanied by Paris's father Rick, answered: "Honey!" According to those in the courthouse, Hilton's screams and wails echoed in the internal hallway as she was escorted out.

Currently, several major media outlets are reporting that Hilton's lawyer plans to appeal the ruling, which means the reality TV star could experience life outside of her jail cell shortly if the appeal is successful.

But for right now (at least for the next couple of hours) Hilton's jailbird wings have been officially clipped and her twisted jailhouse saga continues...

You and all the other people who tuned into MSNBC, CNN, FOX, Court TV, etc. looking for "real" news today... LOL! MSNBC is running an hour special to Paris' plight tonight.

Now Heather, someone had to take the place of Anna Nicole in the useless news section - LOL! Unfortunately for us, Anna Nicole was so larger than life, apparently we now have to suffer from Paris/Lindsey/Britney useless news to fill the gap.

Pffft. They aren't news. They are train wrecks and they aren't even gripping train wrecks. I'll be turning off the news for a while and reading my paper again, at least then I can just skip the page with her on it.

Believe it or not the debate over whether her jailing (and re-jailing) is actually newsworhty is one of the things that is making the news... now THAT's amazing!

And we wonder why other countries consider Americans less intellectual and 'dumber' than the rest?!
