Roger Ebert Infuriates ‘Jackass’ Fans

Jackass star Ryan Dunn and a friend died in a fiery crash on early Monday morning. He and passenger Zachary Hartwell, listed as a production assistant on Jackass Number Two, had just left a pub in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Hours before leaving the bar, Ryan tweeted a picture of himself, Hartwell, and another man drinking. Toxicology results won’t be ready for another four to six weeks, but speculation is that speed and drinking were factors in the crash. Early reports are that the Porsche may have been going in excess of 100 mph when it flew over the guardrail into … Continue reading

Charlie’s Officially Out and Arnold Did WHAT?

Well, you may have heard the news by now, but CBS has officially announced that Ashton Kutcher will be Charlie Sheen’s replacement on “Two and a Half Men.” Sheen had maybe jokingly, maybe not pleaded for his job back during his one man train wreck, eh, tour. A friend has said Sheen is “destroyed” that he has been replaced and so quickly. Publically, Sheen has tweeted his best to Ashton and said CBS got the right guy. However, he later tweeted, “Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer … Oh wait, so am I!! Enjoy the show America, … Continue reading

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Reinvents Himself – Part I

We have a WWE clock in our garage that my husband has had for at least eight years. Every once in while when I am coming in from the car, I heard The Rock say “Can you smell what The Rock is cooking?” In case you haven’t noticed, what The Rock is cooking up is a new image for himself. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has gone from WWE superstar to movie star in a small amount of time and very successfully, I might add. He is even getting a new name – his old one. If you look at the … Continue reading

A Brief History of Celebrity Cougars

Last night, I watched the season finale of Age of Love. If you missed the show, it featured 31-year-old tennis star Mark Philippoussis as a single man looking for love. The catch of the show was that they brought in 13 eligible bachelorettes for him to choose from – six in their twenties (dubbed the kittens) and seven in their forties (dubbed the cougars). The show was supposed to show that age meant nothing. Well, in the end, apparently age did mean something. Mark picked 25-year-old Amanda Salinas over 48 year old Jen Braff. Regardless of the results of that … Continue reading

Ashton Kutcher Tops the Weekend Box Office?

I liked Ashton Kutcher when I first saw him on “That 70’s Show.” I have seen a couple of his movies (Dude, Where’s My Car?, Just Married, and The Butterfly Effect) and never thought I would write these words, but… Ashton Kutcher movies came out on top of this weekend’s box office. Not that Ashton is a bad actor, but he hardly seems to be made of the same material from which box office leaders are cut. And lately, all his press seems to have come from being married to Demi Moore and as the producer of MTV’s “Punk’d.” But … Continue reading
